It’s the DDA Housing Scheme Aawasiya Yojana 2017 that has come to incite the urge of home seekers in India. The scheme was last launched in 2014. The new scheme, which got underway on 30th June 2017, features around 12,000 flats for sale by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA). The last date for application is 10th August.

The flats on offer in the housing scheme are primarily located in Rohini, Pitampura, Dwarka, Sarita Vihar, Jasola, Narela, Anand Vihar, Vasant Kunj, etc. You can choose anyone from HIG, MIG, LIG and Janta flats.

What to Look for in DDA HIG Flats?

As much as 87 HIG flats are up for grabs in the ongoing housing scheme. The price range falls between ₹53.52 lakh-1.26 Crore for these flats built across an area of 72.43-156.61 square meters. As far as the interiors are concerned, these flats would have a drawing room, 3 bedrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom and a toilet. The HIG flats are located in Dwarka, Rohini Sector-11,18 & 29, Jasola, Vikaspuri, Paschim Vihar, Pitampura, Sarita Vihar, Sukhdev Vihar and Kondli Gharoli.

What’s Special About DDA MIG Flats?

Those who are seeking homes priced between ₹43.11 lakhs-93.95 lakhs can apply for MIG flats on sale by the DDA Housing Scheme Aawasiya Yojana 2017. These flats, which have an area of 72.28-131.68 square meters, will house a drawing room, 2 bedrooms, along with a bathroom, kitchen and toilet. With regards to the location of these flats, they are found in Narela Pocket A-9 & A-10, Rohini Sector-21,23,24 &28, Kalyan Vihar, Dwarka, Jahangirpuri and Mukherjee Nagar.

How Are LIG Flats?

It’s LIG flats that are more in numbers for the buyers to grab. As much as 11,197 flats are available, with a price of ₹14.50 lakhs-30.30 lakhs. The flats are constructed in an area of 28.24-61.05 square meters and consist of a drawing room, 1 bedroom, along with a kitchen, bathroom and toilet. These flats can be found in Rohini Sector-16, 29, 34&35, Dwarka, Dwarka Sector-23B, Narela G-2& G-8, Jasola, Paschim Vihar, Loknayakpuram, Kondli Gharoli, Ramgarh Colony near Jahangirpuri Police Station and Siraspur.

How’s Janta Flats Look Like?

You can pay the application money either online or the offline modes of cheque, draft, etc. As shown earlier, there are eight banks entrusted for this service. You can choose any one of these. From the last time around, there has been a little change as you would need to pay the entire fee unlike in 2014 when the banks were taking a minimum sum of ₹5,000 and paying the remaining on the behalf of customers. Even if they agree to pay the lump sum now, they will do it on a personal loan basis. As you would rightly know the personal loan interest rates range from 11%-25% across the banks involved in the DDA Housing Scheme Aawasiya Yojana 2017.

Period of DDA Housing Scheme 2017

The DDA housing scheme will run for over a month from 30th June to 10th August, 2017. The lucky draw will take place after the completion of the said period. The winners of the draw will be allotted their respective flats in October 2017.
